Uploading Files
To upload a recording directly, click New Minutes in the sidebar, fill in the meeting details, and click Choose File to select your audio or video file.
Supported formats: MP3, M4A, WAV, MP4, MOV, WebM.
File size limit: Up to 1 GB per upload.
Tips for file uploads
- Audio-only files (MP3, M4A, WAV) are smaller and process slightly faster than video files since MuniMins only needs the audio track.
- If you have a video file, you don't need to convert it — MuniMins extracts the audio automatically.
- If your file is over 1 GB, try converting it to MP3 first. Even long meetings compress comfortably under the limit as audio-only.
What happens after upload. Your recording enters the Processing Queue. MuniMins transcribes the audio, runs voice identification, extracts motions and votes, and generates formatted minutes. Processing time depends on meeting length — typically a few minutes for a standard-length meeting.
File uploads are available on all plans. On MuniMins, you can also paste YouTube or Vimeo links instead of uploading a file.
