Your First Minutes
You've created your account and you're ready to upload your first recording. Here's what to expect.
Set up boards first. You can upload minutes without boards but you won't take advantage of MuniMins intelligent infrastructure. If you can create the board and members first you'll save a lot of time later on! See Creating Boards.
Upload your recording. Click New Minutes in the sidebar. Select your board, enter the meeting date and time, choose a detail level, and either upload a file or paste a YouTube link. Click Upload & Process.
Wait for processing. Your recording goes into the Processing Queue. Processing time depends on meeting length and server load, but, typically minutes will be done within 10-15 minutes. Rather than wait, you can close the page and come back later or another day. The queue shows real-time status updates.
Review the output. When processing finishes, open your minutes from All Minutes or the Processing Queue. You'll see formal third-person minutes with motions, votes, roll call, and attendance. Above the minutes you'll see banner for Transcript and Speaker Identification. Click on that an the transcript with color-coded speaker labels (Speaker A, Speaker B, etc.) will be visible. Each motion is highlighted in bold with vote counts.
Identify speakers. On your first meeting, MuniMins doesn't know what anyone sounds like yet. Click the speaker labels in the transcript and assign names from your board member list. This step builds voice profiles that make future meetings faster.
Edit if needed. The minutes are a draft. Review the motions, check the vote counts, and make any corrections. MuniMins is accurate but it's working from audio — a quick review ensures everything is right before approval. Each motion that is identified has easy in-line tools that make edits a smooth process.
What the first meeting won't have
Automatic speaker identification (that builds over time), pre-matched names, or high-confidence voice profiles. That's normal. By meeting three or four, the platform will start recognizing your board members on its own.
What to do next
Process a second meeting for the same board. You'll immediately notice that speaker suggestions are stronger. The more meetings you run through MuniMins, the less manual work each one requires.
