Regenerating Minutes

If your minutes need more than a simple edit — you want a different detail level, or the initial output missed the mark — you can regenerate them from the original recording and transcript data.

How to regenerate

On the minutes view page, click Regenerate. Choose a new detail level (Brief, Standard, or Detailed) and click Regenerate Minutes.

What happens

MuniMins reruns authoring stage using the existing transcript and combines that with your saved motion data. You don't need to re-upload the recording or redo speaker identification. The new minutes replace the previous draft.

Important: Regenerating replaces the current minutes text. If you've made manual edits, those edits will be lost. Export or copy your edits before regenerating if you want to preserve them.

Motion information is preserved during regeneration.  Motions can all be verified and the minutes can be regenerated safely without overwriting the verified data.

When to regenerate

Regeneration Due to Speaker Change

If MuniMins has misidentified a speaker and you corrected it in the Speaker Training window, MuniMins will prompt you to regenerate the minutes to correct any potential misattribution.
