Voice Profiles FAQ

Do voice profiles work across boards?
Yes. When board member speaks in meetings on different boards, MuniMins recognizes them as the same person. Their voice profile is shared across all boards they're associated with.

How long do voice profiles last?
Voice profiles are stored indefinitely (or until you remove the member). They improve with each meeting. Even after 6 months with no meetings, a profile will still recognize a returning member.

What if a speaker's voice changes?
If a member returns after a long absence and their voice sounds different (age, illness, etc.), the system may not recognize them initially. Simply confirm them in the transcript — a few confirmations will update their profile.

Can I manually edit a voice profile?
No, but you don't need to. Profiles self-correct over time. Confirming speakers in the transcript is all that's needed to keep profiles accurate.

Are voice profiles secure?
Yes. Voice embeddings are mathematical fingerprints — they can't be reversed to recreate audio. Your original recordings remain private and are only stored as long as your plan allows.

What if I want to start fresh with voice profiles?
Remove the member from your board (their profile is deleted), then add them back. They'll start building a new profile from their next meeting.

Can participants have voice profiles?
Yes. Participants can be set up with voice profiles just like board members. If your Municipality Counsel speaks at multiple boards, they'll be recognized automatically.
